Today and Always....Goin' Back in Time

I didn't realize exactly HOW long I've had this scrappin' kit lying around so I just looked and OMGOSH, it is from the 2006-2007 catalog!  YIKES!  I am trying to get as many cards out of this kit as I can.  Here is one sample of the set of cards being made.

I am using various prima flowers, artichoke ribbon, whisper white paper, and the stamp is from the retired set All Year Cheer II.  These kits are awesome for when you want a large amount of cards in a quick amount of time.  Thanks for looking!

Feelin' the Love....

This is a card that my sister, Jackie, made for Valentine's Day this year.  I believe the only SU products on the card is the DP.  All other products are unknown.  Thanks for sharing that with us, Jackie!  YOU ROCK!

Gotta luv kits! I know I do....

These are 6 designs I assembled yesterday during our massive snow storm!  The kit is by Ninabrook Designs and the papers are absolutely WONDERFUL!  I had a lot of fun assembling these and will definitely buy more kits like this one.  The name of this kit is Sentimental Greetings Class'ic Kits.  I will post them all here for you to see and drool over *wink*

Watercoloring with Markers - Take One

This technique is going to take some practise....I am not very good at watercoloring.  The set used here is Bloomin' Beautiful and I used the following SU markers: Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Going Grey.  The paper combination is Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Watercolor Paper.  The biggest trick I can see to watercoloring this way, is to color a small area at a time and then use the water pen.  I also used the distressing tool on this card and I really like how it looks!  Happy coloring!

CASE'd PaperTrey Inspired Card

This card was CASE'd from Julie Buhler this morning!  What a fun card.  I don't have any "square" stamps like she used on hers, but this was close enough.  It was a very quick card, done in 10 minutes or so....

I used the image from Baroque Motifs, and I stamped it on Whisper White with Wild Wasabi ink to create my own patterned paper.  This was then matted on a wasabi base.  I used a strip of wild wasabi CS, to cover up where I stopped stamping, and pierced the top of it. I added some double stitched Wild Wasabi ribbon, I stamped the sentiment in the wasabi and then added a flower and a green brad with a glue dot!  EASY PEESY!  Thanks, Julie for such an easy, quick card!  I am off to see how many other stamp sets I can use now for this type of card.

I'm "officially" Bloggin'!!

I figured it's about time I ventured forth into the Blogging world...so here is my attempt!  The name came from a company that my youngest sister, Jackie, and I have created  "Hippy Chic Designs."  We will be marketing our own wedding invitations, birth and party announcements, etc.  I hope you enjoy your time here....  I will "try" to post as often as I can and I will have new techniques and craft ideas that I have tried or love to do as well.  Take care and happy stampin' and scrappin'.
